NEONATAL NEUROSCIENCE

Training for the people who hold neonatal families together.

A neuroscience programme that translates what's happening in the brains of parents, babies, and staff into practical, compassionate bedside care. Built by Lottie King, founder of Leo's Neonatal, after nine years and over £1m of frontline delivery.

Built on polyvagal theory and trauma neuroscience  •  Faculty: Greer Kirshenbaum PhD, Dr Frankie Harrison, Jessica Maguire

Built on neuroscience

Polyvagal theory, neuroception, interoception, allostatic load. Explained in language a tired night shift can actually use.

Grounded in lived experience

Lottie has stood at both sides of the cot. She has lived the room, and she can explain what is happening in the brains of the people in it.

Designed for the bedside

Every module includes scripts, reflection tools, and resources your team can use the next day. A sharper way to do the work you already do.

A unit that learned to listen built this.

Lottie King is the founder of NICU Neuroscience and of Leo's Neonatal, a UK charity that has delivered more than £1m of mental health support to neonatal families over nine years. She is also a bereaved parent. She has stood at both sides of the cot.

NICU Neuroscience is the training she wishes had existed when she was the parent in the room, and the training she wishes had been there for the staff who were holding her.

Every module is designed so a clinician can engage with it on a busy shift and apply it on the next one. No jargon. No extra workload. A sharper way to do the work they already do.

What clinicians say.

"This is the training I have wanted for fifteen years. It changes how you see everything in the room."

Neonatal Nurse, NHS Trust

"Lottie speaks to both sides of this experience in a way no one else does. It is clinical, it is human, and it is essential."

Neonatologist

"I came back from a shift and used it the same evening. That never happens with training."
